Having traveled extensively, the Caribbean included, my choice for my holiday destination has been Tobago and Turtle Beach by rex resorts, where I have stayed now 33 years consecutively. The three-star hotel has simply the best location on the island, with all rooms facing the sea and with terraces that overlook the most beautifully maintained garden which lead down to the beach. It has a nice size swimming pool so there is plenty of choice for guests, young and old to relax.

The staff, especially the girls cleaning our rooms, were friendly and polite and my room was always spotless, with linen and towels changed daily. Food in the restaurant is of a good standard with a la carte available for greater choice. Daily evening entertainment is varied and of good local standard. Every hotel depends on its management for its success, and the present manager, Leslie, is a great asset for the hotel. He takes very good care of the efficient running of the property in every aspect. I already look forward to visiting Turtle Beach again next January.
