The Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri in Abu Dhabi has been undergoing a major expansion, with the latest additions set to make the resort one of the best luxury hotel options in the Emirates.

As well as adding 161 serviced apartments the hotel has also added a collection of luxurious four-bedroom villas featuring custom-made furnishings and state-of-the-art amenities, offering exclusive accommodation for the most discerning guests.

Each villa has a unique interior design, and includes separate dining rooms and lounges, fully-equipped kitchens and en suite bathrooms in each bedroom. Some even boast their own private cinemas.

Other plans are also afoot for the Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri, as a ‘hotel within a hotel’ is currently being constructed, away from existing accommodation areas to cause minimum disturbance to guests.

Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri is already packed full of facilities, making it one of Abu Dhabi’s favourite resort hotels. It is located on a kilometre-long beachfront and has five outdoor pool, a health club and yoga room, CHI spa centre, waterspors and four gourmet restaurants. A fifth restaurant is also due to open later in 2008 and there is a lively souk selling traditional Arabic handicrafts, gifts and a range of other dining outlets.
